Industrial tools are today considered to be some of the most important supporting elements of modern manufacturing technologies. Nowadays the production and economy can be described as turbulent, full of changes, competitions, opportunities and risks. The same is true also for tool development and production.
New production and tool manufacturing technologies, virtual manufacturing, intelligence systems, rapid tooling, tools for flexible and small quantity production, management of tool making, new materials and their treatments, etc. - all these topics will be discussed during the gathering of respected specialists, engineers, researchers and scientists coming from industry, research institutions and academic environment.
Conferences such as ICIT 1997, 1999, 2001 and 2003 confirmed the fact that Slovenia is a very good host at organising conferences for participants from the most developed countries as well as from the countries aspiring to be respectable partners in the global economy of the third millennium.
Guests of our previous conferences told us that they benefited most from the possibility of meeting people coming from Europe, America, Eastern Asia as well as from the possibility of exchanging with other participants their knowledge and experiences related to broad tool making problems.
ICIT 2005 will not only be a conference. The guests are also warmly welcome to the international tool fair FORMATOOL, which is growing fast and acquiring one of the leading positions in Central and Eastern Europe.
One of the very important preconditions for having a successful conference is of course the meeting place. This time we are inviting you to Velenje, an administrative and economic centre of the Salek Valley. The industry (www.gorenje.si) placed Velenje among the most important economic centres in Slovenia.
