The 2017 Edition of the ICIT&APT Conference is Behind Us
The ICIT&APT conference (International Conference on Industrial Tools and
Advanced Processing Technologies) again proved that it is a well-established and
prominent event covering the ever important topics of industrial tools and
production technologies. TECOS – Slovenian Tool and Die Development Centre has
been organizing it biennially since 1997. The last, jubilee 10th edition of the
conference, ICIT & APT 2017, again took
place in lovely Ljubljana in the conference centre of Hotel Union from 24 to 26
We Hosted Many Distinguished Experts
A number of world-renowned scientists
and researchers took the floor at the conference from many worldwide established
institutions, including Technische Universität Dortmund, Politecnico di Torino,
Autodesk, Inc, University of Trento, Polytechnical University of Madrid, Vienna
University of Technology, TU Bergakademie Freiberg, University of Miskolc, Technische
Universität Chemnitz Fraunhofer, Technische Universität Dresden and others.
Industry 4.0 Was the Key
The 2017 conference was focused on most recent advances in the production
technologies that are being incorporated by the industry - where new
renaissance, the 4th industrial revolution, is transforming current production
plants to the next level: INDUSTRY 4.0 - the Factories of the Future. These words
that are embracing one of the major and most important changes in the way that
we produce things were in the centre of the debate.
